Shot Notes
Late home tonight, after lunch at the desk and a pit stop on the way back. I like the curves on this Aldi special, although the neck is a bit narrow for my fingers. Here, I like the way its sits smooth and shapely, bringing out the curves in the vase and contrasting with the gritty line of the fire place. This shot was taken with available light, indoors and with the ‘grainy film’ art setting. I thought ISO1600 and the ART setting would not get along, but the PEN confirmed something which I’ve been noticing in a few mad shots …it’s an absolute delight in available light. Due credit also to the image stabilizer, which favours my habit of shooting, without flash, first and asking questions later …which often leads to lost shots in low light.
