Shot Notes
Dodger the dog came to us from a litter of working dogs on a property my sister lived at outside Texas in south central Queensland. He’s an outside dog whose most frequent early companion was a stray guinea fowl, which lived on our block at Beechmont, at the time Dodger arrived 12 years ago. He shared a paddock with a couple of young bulls and a horse or two and ran away whenever storms brewed. He’d hide under the counter at the local store, invade other people’s houses and hide under their beds or climb into open cars and hide inside. He went missing for two days once, because he’d climbed into someone’s car and they’d driven quite a long way home, before they discovered they had company. As you can see from this shot, Dodger likes to roll and scratch his back. This was taken with the PEN in Auto setting in early morning light and cropped slightly to accentuate the subject. The colour is rich and vivid while the texture and detail sharp and accurate (on standard / normal settings).
