Shot Notes

I’d been walking around this little log all day and it didn’t speak to me for quite a while. There were long chats with the family, sheltering with good food under the tarpaulin roof my brother has extended along a series of shelters on his block below Mount Warning. It’s a retreat from his work with wires and widgets inside people’s computers on the back blocks around the Tweed, where the old timers play dodgems in the shopping centre carpark as they pick up the papers and navigate their exit by ear. The bush block is covered with trees and fern and loves the rain. Sometimes you can see a natural composition, but it takes a little work with the camera to pull the shot through. Here the PEN has been asked to work in low light on a rainy day and landed this at 1600 ISO, F5.6, 1/40 at 42mm. Brown leaves on a green day!
